Education and Experience
Dr. Eric Claussen grew up in Panama City, Florida, and returned to his hometown to establish the Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center in 2011.
Prior to practicing in his specialty, Dr. Claussen received a Bachelor of Science (BS) at the University of Florida. Remaining at UF, he then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2005.
Following dental school, Dr. Claussen completed a rigorous Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Indiana, receiving his Certificate in 2009. During his residency he gained extensive hands-on experience and served as Chief Resident at Wishard Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Riley Children’s Hospital, and University Hospital.
After completing his residency, Dr. Claussen was part of a group practice serving the Orlando area, where he demonstrated strong leadership skills in operating in multiple locations.
Desiring to serve a community he knows, Dr. Claussen chose to relocate to his home town of Panama City and opened his private practice, where he is proud to offer advanced services to his patients.

Rather than dictating treatment, he believes in partnering with patients during the treatment planning process, encouraging each person to be actively engaged in their care.
By ensuring individuals are fully informed about the treatment, and addressing all concerns upfront, Dr. Claussen alleviates anxiety and helps each patient feel at ease during their procedure. He is fully dedicated to making oral surgery care rewarding, so individuals have reasons to share their smiles.

By carefully evaluating new methodologies and technologies, as well as the latest research, he is able to incorporate those changes which improve care and outcome into his practice for the benefit of his patients.
Personal Life
Dr. Claussen is happily married and the father of two children. His family also including two cats and a dog. When not in the office, he’s most often found with his family, enjoying boating, fishing, golf, and cooking.
